After upgrading from version 10 to 12 I’m finding that the search component goes in and out depending on how long a page has been open. On our Master Page we have a search component that is used throughout the org. If a page is open for a while, the search stops working. Once the page is refreshed, the search starts working again. 

I can see that refreshing is a simple enough solution, but if there’s a way to fix it so that it works all the time, please do.

Hi Tami, do you have any idea what kind of time frame is involved? Is it possible that the user has been logged out due to inactivity? Or, if you’ve been able to reproduce it, can you look in the browser’s developer console for any error messages (after trying to search and seeing no activity). 


Thanks for getting back to me Mark. I asked the user to clear cache and cookies and things seem to be fine.
