Our Salesforce community licensed users are reporting that they see this error, but we are unable to reproduce when uploading files to Salesforce via Skuid interface as a user with the same profile/security setup or logging in as a specific user. I cannot find anything specific to it in the Skuid community about this that fits the bill. Anybody seen this on their end and can understand why it happens or easily recreate it?

Error message: Could not upload file: The Chatter Connect API is not enabled for this organization or user type

Thanks - Jeff

bump - this still happens occasionally and happened again today. Anybody else every get this and solve it?

Hi Jeff, for users who have reported this problem, would there be any way to test this outside of Skuid? The error seems related to Salesforce permissions/configuration and be curious to see if they get the same error using standard Salesforce upload methods.

It is very intermittent still to this day and we cannot easily replicate it - tested tonight on standard SF page as community user logged in without issue. The solution has been running for multiple years and this is a bug that we cannot squash… Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated!

HI @JeffRutter

  • What version of Skuid are you using?

Are you building in v1 or v2?

Verify that your specific file upload use case is supported in Salesforce Communities. See this Skuid documentation for what is supported in Skuid v1 and v2
