We are using Skuid (v2) on Saleforce to build an online member application for users that primarily leverages forms for their data input. However, users will need to upload additional files such as CV/resume as they fill out the application (attaching the custom Application object record that they create during the experience on Skuid Page). Hitting a few roadblocks and wondering if anyone can help direct me to resources or has suggestions on the following:
1) Is there an option when using Skuid file upload (with attach to record option), to have the user upload as related Files instead of related Attachments? Seems Salesforce has pushed users toward Files on their end.
2) Is there an option for users to view Skuid file uploads (as added record attachments) within the Skuid page view following upload(s)? Like a table or otherwise showing the file listed as they go through the application.
3) If able to view, is there an option for users to remove/delete Skuid added attachments after adding, from their Skuid page view?
4) Is there an option to require Skuid file upload by users when using in conjunction with Skuid form (essentially have “add your resume here” as a requirement like other form questions)?
5) When assigning a custom File Name to Skuid file uploads, any ideas for adding numbers consecutively if users have multiple uploads (such as each uploaded file would get CustomName_01, CustomName_02, etc)?
I apologize for so many questions at once…hoping all feel relevant to the same topic. Appreciate any direction or creative ideas on any or all. Thank you!
Hi Rob,
Here are two posts from quite a long time ago, but they still have good info in them for understanding how the uploader interacts with Salesforce Files. The uploader now has “On upload Actions” which are nice and make things more streamlined. That wasn’t an option when I wrote these posts.
Read though the comments of these posts.

Thanks. Will look toward them to learn more.
Per question 1) “Is there an option when using Skuid file upload (with attach to record option), to have the user upload as related Files instead of related Attachments? Seems Salesforce has pushed users toward Files on their end.”
Appears it was an easy solution right in front of me, simply change File Storage Location selection on the component to In Content Document option. Just missed that being the proper choice.
