Looking to add a static control at the top of a list view

Is it possible to have a static control at the top of a K2 list view, similar to how you can freeze panes on Excel? I'd like to have a button control there that allows users to add the selected item to a form, and if that button stayed in place as they scrolled through the list view so they can always access it, that would be ideal. I haven't come across any way to do this.

Can K2 create SQL Server databases and tables by creating SmartObjects?

We all know K2 can create SmartObjects based on existing schema in a database or service. I'm wondering if it can work the other way around. Can I: 1. Set up a SQL Server service instance in K2 and connect it to a database2. Define a SmartObject in K2 and have that SO definition create a table inside the database that can then be updated and queried as necessary Is this possible? I've looked at the documentation but couldn't find an answer; if I missed it, a link to the relevant docs would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Is there anyway that when an user clicks on  Open Form from the Task List that the form opens in the same window instead of a  new tab?

Can K2 Five and 4.7 coexist on same SharePoint 2013 instance?

Currently, we are on 4.7 and SharePoint 2013. We are planning to go to K2 5.1. Can we have some SharePoint site collections using App 4.7 and some using 5.1? I heard that workflow will migrate and will continue to run but we will not be able to modify them in 5.1 tools. We will have to redevelop them in 5.1 at some point of time. We have 3-4 really complex solutions and they are heavily used. And we will not be able to redevelop them with the upgrade project. We will have to run and support 4.7 version for quite some time. They are in different site collections. Will we be able to leave them in App 4.7 and continue to modify in 4.7 tools? Or 5.1 and 4.7 can coexist on the same site collection?

No scroll bars in K2 Designer for Visual Studio

I've just had a new laptop with Windows 10 issued to me. Whilst I had no problem with the K2 Visual Studio add-in, I can now no longer see the horizointal and vertical scroll bars to navigate to a SmartObject method. Horizontally, it lops off halfway through the method column and vertically, only four methods are shown. So i cannot get down to anymore methods unless I use my arrow keys in conjunction with the properties pane. Really irritating. My monitors, are all set up for 100% font size as they were previously.

how to make parent menu and child menu and also view in one form (landing page)

Dear All, Anyone have any suggestion how to make the form like the above picture (landing page) ?I want design the form like when I click parent menu 1 --> child menu1, child menu2, child menu3 --> then click child menu 1, view is appear without navigate to other form.

Unauthorized Smartobject Access

K2 environment is 5.2 with Fix Pack 10. I am getting this error when the smartForm first initializes.   Now this has been resolved in K2 Blackpearl forum and I have tried disabling rules but no luck as per recommendations shown in that thread. Duplicated workflow comments

Hi,Im using K2 deseigner to create an Access request app, and I need to display all comments from diffrent approvers , for that Im using workflow comment smartobject, but Im getting dupliacted comments on every state. Any idea how to solve this issue ? Thank you in advance

K2 Calendar Scheduling Application

Does the K2 product have an out of the box type solution for calendar scheduling? I have a business need to build a very simple application that allows people to select appointment slot times that are available. I was hoping not to have to do a lot of development to do this. Any thoughts or ides? Thanks,Steve

Editable list view changing $0 to {1}

Hi All,I have an editable list view and there is a text area control in that. Whenever I enter $0 in it, the control will convert it into {1} . Upon searching I found that it is a known issue and there is a solution using jQuery. Package Deployment Issue

I have same application in my K2 test and production server.I have updated the application and tested in test server. Upgadation includes adding new workflows, SmartObjects, rules modification in forms & views. I have already created the application deployment package from test server. Now, want to deploy in production server. My question is- do i need to create the new workflow (including variables), smart objetcs in prod environment? Do the rules change automatically effected in the prod?

Issue with rich text control

Hi. I am having an issue with rich text control in K2. My version is 4.6.11  I am pulling the content from sharepoint to the rich text control and then sending it as an email. In sharepoint my content starts with <div> but when I pull this into the control, below tag is getting added  <div class="ExternalClass343AD6022D26461EB7242F6DAD9E3974"> Problem is, if the above tag is present in the data then I am losing some <br /> and entire formatting will go off. The same behaviour is happening when I insert an image on to the body of rich text control as well. Any idea why this is happening? Regards,Madhu

Task Email Notification Not Sent

Having some issues getting a task to go to a recipient based on a field in a form.Auto-complete field is referencing a SmartObject containing our AD users' information. Value of field is 'Email' with type 'Text'.The email value is passed through to the workflow and used as the recipient for the task from the references. I didn’t expect this to succesfully resolve the email address to the AD user but surprisingly it does assign the task to the correct user. Despite being assigned to the correct user, it seems it just won’t send the email task notification out.  If the task recipient is set manually in the task, rather than using the form input, the task notification is sent out fine.  Any thoughts?

Is it possible to restore/recover a deleted form?

I've spent the last 3 days getting a form wrapped up and finally when to go check it in and not thinking I clicked yes to delete it thinking it was the yes to checking in associated views. Is there anyway to restore this form?  I'm not immediately seeing a way when I look through the mgmt screen.

Growing Expense Report

K2 Newbie.  Trying to make a growing Expense report with K2 and have not been able to find something that shows me how I might be able to do this. If anyone has an example that would be great. Here is the idea. User data at the topA growing form, only adds one line at a time. (This is the part I am not sure how to make happen) Totals and sheet key at the bottom for mileage.  Once submitted, kicks off a work flow to manager for approval, rework, denied.Back to the growing form. I would like it to show a blank line, but once the line has all required fields filled the user clicks an ADD Expense button for another line “growing the sheet” downward. Is this doable, or do I need to set the sheet with a set number of fields and have the user limited on the sheet to that number? Thanks,Brandon

K2 Five and DocuSign Example

Hi Mates,I had created developer account in DocuSign and i am able to resgister DocuSign with K2. I would like to know how we can integrate Docusign with SmartFrom and K2 Five Workflow. I have gone thought Docusign integration with K2 but in that example they had use SharePoint to save and create WF.Is there any other example of K2 SF and K2 Five with DocuSign. Thanks in Advance.

K2 for SharePoint app

Hi all, We are currently running multiple sites on one SharePoint 2013 farm, utilizing K2 4.6.11 including the K2 for SharePoint App.Recently, we planned to upgrade to 4.7 in place so we have taken one of our sites and created a new K2 4.7 server.I'm now at the point of installing the K2 for SharePoint app.The questions to the community are: will installing the 4.7 app break the existing 4.6.11 app? Can I install the apps for 4.6.11 and 4.7 side by side?Thanks for any help you can provide.- Cary.

K2 Five create SmartObject on Table with one Field is identify and other is Primary Key

Hello at all, i have to start in SQL. My Tables are created like that way:  The Problem is, that i can't change from Required Yes to Required No on the Primary Key field Z_ID.K2 misinterprets my logic of the SQL Table. Starting a workflow for Selected Rows in a List View?

I am trying to start individual workflows for selected items in a List View.I am using the "For Selected rows on #### List View" confition, then running an update method to change a status, which is working correctly (only selected rows are being updated). But, when I put a "Start Workflow" action in the same "for each" condition, only one workflow is starting, but it seems to be passing all items in the list view into the workflow, rather than starting a individual workflow for just the items selected. I can't seem to find any documenation or topics on this, what should be the correct set up?  Thanks.

Rename File Attachment

I would like to standardise the names of attachments loaded for a transaction. The attachments are loaded using the File Attachment control and are saved in a SQL Table. Is it possible to apply a new name to the attached file before saving the file to the SQL table via the SMO.

K2 Management site - Task list - Expand destination

https://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/k2blackpearl/userguide/4.7/default.htm#Resources/Projects/AdministerK2/AdministeringK2P3Worklists.htm When a process is assigned to a destination that is a role (e.g. AD group), the old workspace site used to allow the role to be expanded with a + button to see the users having that role.  This is a convenient feature. The equivalent function in the new management site (Users > Task List) doesn't seem to offer this feature. UI changes aside, just seems odd that a newer version of the site would take away some functionality without providing an alternative. Am I missing something? Thanks

Slow response forms and workflows; email actions

One of the many frustrating aspects of Nintex Workflows Online is the extremely slow load times. When you are trying to develop workflows, it can sometimes take way too long to open the designer, update or publish. Even loading and configuring the actions takes too long. We have determined that using Nintex Online compared to Nintex OnPrem is taking 3 times longer in development time (perhaps we should invoice Nintex for the extra staff time).The Mail Action seems to have more problems than any other action; The fonts and styles just have a mind of their own. You can select Arial and it saves as Times New Roman; you select 12pt and it saves as 10 pt. You try to add Item properties and it either ignores the existing styles or places the properties on a different line. It seems Nintex are more interested in adding new features whilst they have not addressed the issues with the old features.Come on Nintex......step up and fix these issues!!!

Does anyone know how to get the ISO 8601 version of a datetime in K2?
