I have a list view based on the Activity Instance Destination reporting object. I want to conditionaly place activity name or text in the coulumn based on the Activity name. Can this be done if the field the coulumn is based on is Activity Name? If I select field = none then the field is always blank at initialization.

I do not believe we will need to disconnect if from the field. You should be able to use the Show a Control and Hide a Control rules to accomplish this. You will just use advanced conditions and the show/hide rules. I presume you have another column that will hold the text, and you can just hide/show the columns based on the activities.
