I had a QA tester come up with a scenario when typing in manual dates into a Calendar Picker that it isn't saving.

DD/MM/yyyy -  if manually typed in  (15/05/2014) the field value will not save.

MM/DD/yyyy - if manually typed in (05/15/2018) the field value will save

When selecting a date using the calendar icon - the field value will save.

In doing some forum / google searching I found a support forum post:
https://community.k2.com/t5/K2-Blackpearl-Forum-Posts/DateTime-Format-in-Calendar-Control/td-p/59809

Is this still the case with the date formats?   Is there a way around this?

Thanks in advance

Hello AAschenbrener,

Do you have the style of the Calendar control set to the Language/Region that supports dd/MM/yyyy e.g. United Kingdom?

I was able to save a manually typed in date of 15/05/2014 with this selected.

Kind Regards,

Josh

Set for
Type:   Short date
Language/Region -   User settings.

It's so weird because the field does throw a 'invalid format' pop up message if you hover on the control with a red line showing it's invalid when people type in a DD/MM/YYYY value but still allowed saving.   We ended up throwing a validation action on the save button and it automatically picked up the error and stops user from saving until put into the MM/DD/YYYY format.

Think we might be ok now.
