Hi,

Anyone implemented a way to save a form as the user goes along, then allowing them to save it and then pick-up filling it in later?

If so, is there any way to manage this so drafts don't just sit around in the system if unfilled etc?

Also, is there a way of allocating security, so that only that user can open the draft and continue?

Thanks

Hi Sharpharp1

Thanks for the links.

I think maybe have a SAVE AS DRAFT button when sending the link to the user that is filling in the form perhaps?

Then the user just clicks the link to continue and the form loads any existing data?

The bigger problem is managing unfinished forms, i.e. the user doesn't complete it and also if the user deletes the link sent to them?

How could you address these issues? I guess you could add a status field and use SSIS to delete any unfinished jobs periodically.

But how would you handle users continuing a form if they delete the link to it?

Is there a login system i could use? creates a password for them to use to continue or create a new password if link lost? -This looks messy to do, but is there an easier way?
