I am running into "Unable to connect to k2.columbia.csc on port 5252. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."

I have checked the K2 Service on the K2 server and it is running, i have even restarted it several times but still nothing.  

I looked in the host server logs and see a bunch of SQL deadlocks.  

 

We are currently on 4.6.9, i know it is out of support but just looking to this thing up and running again.  Is the deadlocks the cause of the unable to connect message?

For you K2 version, this issue could be due to lot of records in table  [Server].[DestQueueUser] .

You can see a summary of this table with this query:

 

select distinct [User],[QueueId],COUNT(*) AS "Count"
from [Server].[DestQueueUser]
GROUP BY [User],[QueueId]
HAVING COUNT(*)>1
order by 3 desc

 

 

But in all cases, it's not supported to modify by yourself the K2 database and your K2 version is not supported.
Did you planned to upgrade soon?
