Add additional category to differentiate data fields?

Is it possible to add additional category on the data fields?

Basically, I'm looking for something to differentiate INPUT and OUTPUT data fields.

I know I can do something like prefixing the data fields, but I'm looking for something built-in to K2.

Help file says-

The category options govern where the Data Field is accessible from

NOTE: If System is selected it only applies to client side and will not appear at runtime. Therefore it will not be visible in Reporting.

Usually, its set to None. I do nt understand the use of setting this Category in data-field . Can someone highlight this please.

I'm not sure myself.

I'm just trying to use this to identify some datafields.

I think these categories are system defined and user will not be able to add/edit. This seems like useful for reporting purpose only.
