Formatting of Task Notification Email keeps changing

Symptoms


Running into an issue where rich text (HTML) formatting on email task notification steps keep getting hosed every time they deploy or make a change to the workflow in Designer.

Notice all the bolded text get cramped into a single paragraph. Appears the formatting loses the carriage returns on those bolded texts.
The behavior is intermittent in that the formatting breaks randomly for the task steps in the workflow design.


 

Diagnoses


Issue appears to be with the way the Designer parses the XML definition for the process when retrieving it at design time.

 

Resolution

This issue is scheduled to be addressed in a later version of the product post K2 blackpearl 4.7.
In the meantime, as a workaround, you can use a custom HTML template(pre-configured HMTL template file) in lieu of the RTE in Designer.
