Convert email address in Single line of text field to Person/Group field

I have an email address stored in a SharePoint list Single line of text column. Is there a way in Nintex Workflow to convert the Single line of text field to a Person/Group field?

 

I tried creating a new Person/Group workflow variable and then using the Convert value action. But when I configure the Convert value action and put the Single line of text field in the Input box, there are no fields to select from in the Store result in dropdown.

Hi,

You can create a person variable and use a set variable action that looks up the email address string and sets the variable. This automatically converts it to a person. You can now use this variable to update a person field.
