In my legacy application we have an InfoPath form library with custom logics. Fields in the InfoPath form has been stored as form library columns. So data is residing in Form library columns.

I have created a SharePoint 2013 out-of-box custom list in my developer VM , recreated all the columns and redeveloped legacy InfoPath form logics using K2 smart forms, smart views and workflows. Later I have packaged the K2 components from this SP 2013 out-of-box custom list.

Now on the legacy site on the original InfoPath form library I am trying to deploy the K2 package but encountering an error like “Smart object server exception error refreshing service instance template for list is not supported” . Please refer the attached screenshots for details.

From the screenshot it appears like K2 doesn’t allow to deploy package if there is variance between source and destination SharePoint lists/document library base templates. Please share the possible work around.

Thanks,
