I've not has the opportunity to take a look or work with Black Pearl yet, but shortly I'm going to be involved in a project that has a Black Pearl Installation ontop of either a standard SharePoint site collection or a collection that has publishing features activated.
Part of the work that I'm going to be covering is customisation of the standard Portal and one question that was posed to me was one regarding SharePoint Definitions and templates. having never used Black Pearl, or having installed it, how does the technology handle its site requirements on installation? Does it add a defintion (plus associated files) or does it work with templates instead?
