O365 -  How to make a control visible based on another controls selected alue

I need to stress that this request is strictly for Nintex Forms for Office 365.

I have a controls that I would like to make visible when a specific drop down choice is selected.

When the user selects Option A from a dropdown(CaseType), I want the control(Status) to be visible.   My initial though was to go to the Status Control Settings and set visible to  use the fn-Equals inline function.

fn-Equals(Case Type, 'Option A')

Didn't work - the status field never would show up.

OK, lets try fn-Contains

fn-Contains(Case Type, 'Option A')

Didn't work - the status field never would show up.

fn-Contains(Case Type, 'O')

Didn't work - the status field never would show up.

fn-Contains(Case Type, A)

Didn't work - the status field never would show up.

I tried variation of the above with and without the quotes for Value 2

So I thought that I would dumb the process down to at least see if any part of the inline function would work.

fn-Contains(Case Type, '')

Worked and the Status Control was visible.

So the ability is there.  My bet is that I am not putting the correct data in the value 1 and value 2.

Hoping that someone has an answer for me. I can't be the first person to try to do this with the O365 Version.

Fernando,

Thank you for taking the time to respond.  I tried this out and it still does not work.  I did a little more playing around and determined that it does work for use when the control is a single line text box.  However, when I try to make this work against a drop down form, it appears that the equation is not getting the casetype selected value text.

Perhaps it's convenient to move your controls inside a Panel. My rule worked on a panel
