I was reading this blog http://www.k2underground.com/blogs/blackpointtipsandtricks/archive/2009/05/18/customize-sharepoint-workflow-integration-task-pages.aspx

When I try to deploy the project I get the error "Error occurred adding the feature to the farm. ---> System.Exception: There was an error while publishing the generated forms. Please ensure that you have Microsoft Web Deployment Addin installed on the system."

Does anyone have a link to the Microsoft Web Deployment Addin? I thought I installed the right thing but I still get the error.

Thanks.

Thank you Nico H. Yep, that's what I had downloaded but just for good measure I downloaded it again and run the setup and repaired the installation. That didn't help. Then I ran the setup again, remove and re-install and that didn't work either.

I'm still getting the same error.

Maybe someone has an idea of what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks.

Hi omeszar,

Are you installing the Web Deployment Deployment Add-In on the MOSS server?

This Add-In needs to be on the IIS (MOSS in this case) server that will host the pages.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you also have to deploy locally on the MOSS server for the forms to be published correctly.

Hope this helps!

I encountered the same issue a while ago. We didn't need the Web Deployment Add In on the MOSS server. Are you using a standalone server? If not, you may need to create a deployment package and deploy on the SharePoint machine directly.

There can also be an error in the code of the task form. You should double-check if your code is valid (or do not make any modifications at all and just deploy the generated form).
