I would like to find if you guys have tried using smart object tester to deploy a newly created service object,
When i try to deploy through smartobject tester, i have to choose "Serivce" which displays existing service type. May be i am missing a very simple point here..
Thoughts ?

Yes you can. But you need to make sure to have Service Type created with BrokerManagement tool.

You have to pick the service. So, for example where is the data for the smart object. SQL, Oracle, SharePoint, etc.
