I am working on an approval/rejection workflow which is triggered by a new or updated item on a SharePoint list.  The workflow is working for the most part, but there is one piece of strange behavior.  So a user will create a new item, which routes it to the approver. If an approver wants to enter a comment on the list item, he must go in and manually update the item, then approve or reject.  However, when an email is generated by the K2 workflow after the approver's action, the comment that approver added is not showing up in the email.

I've tried adding the comment on the initial creation of the item, and that does show up in the workflow-generated email, but obviously we want to the comment to be entered on an update, not on a create.  My question is, is it not possible for K2 to pick up an updated value once the workflow is already in progress?  Is there any way around this behavior?

Hi,

To make sure I understand your request, the comments field
you are referring to is this a column on your document library? I have created
a similar example using K2 blackpearl 4.6 using a column called comments on my
document library and managed to use that comment without issue in email
notifications. Also considering opening a support ticket if you need to get assistants
getting this resolved in a timely manner.
