filtering a list by date range on a page

is it possible to filter an app part on a page by date range using nintex?

i am currently doing something like what is shown here to filter a list. but i need to use sharepoint designer 2013 to be able to get it to work.

is there any way to replicate this in nintex?

After implementing the method used here, where SP designer 2013 is used to add a date range filter, pagination breaks and i am unable to view past the 1st page of results.

Is anyone else experiencing this as well?
