Is it possible to create a K2 workflow for use in the SharePoint 2013 Information Management Policy Settings of a content type or List/Library?

Hi Doug,

I believe you can use K2  for sharepoint to build workflows and incorporate content types, list or Librarys etc or even import workflows as well. Alternatively you can use K2 Studio which allows you intergrate with sharepoint features as well. Please do check out the following site for further information.

Hi Dgilmour,

I took a look into this briefly, as it's not an area of SP2013 I'm really all that familiar with.  I found a few articles on the MS TechNet side of things detailing this feature:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262900(v=office.15).aspx

https://support.office.microsoft.com/en-us/article/Create-and-apply-information-management-policies-eb501fe9-2ef6-4150-945a-65a6451ee9e9?CorrelationId=a1c3c1c8-f2b3-40f7-b9c2-a658d6e22848&ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

I guess what you're trying to ask is if K2 has a way to manipulate these settings on a list or library as part of a workflow.  To my knowledge, the answer there is no, however, I believe you may want to open a ticket with K2 support and log this as a feature request.  K2 does provide some excellent reporting and audititng tools, and you could certainly configure a workflow on your existing sharepoint lists for records/information management and retention.

Regards,

Mike
