I am using SharePoint Nintex 2013 OOTB. I built a Nintex list workflow where all the generated tasks are saved under Workflow Task List. I want Workflow Task List to display some of the items from the main list, such as applicant's name, surname, Request ID therefore admin can locate and action them easily directly from the Task List.

I created a Lookup column in the Task List and selected Request ID information to be collected from the main list "Accreditation Application". However it doesn't display any value. Can you please advise what am I missing?

I added screen prints for the create look up column action and the Task List.

that's only list field definition.

something has to populate a value to the field for each task list item. very likely the workflow that assigns the task(s).

but it's not needed to add custom fields to the task list just for this purpose.

task actions have possibility to customize task approval form (if you have available nintex forms (or an other forn solution like infopath)). there you can simply drag&drop source list fields on the form layout.
