Hi,

K2 Blackperl is hosted on Server A and it also is hosted on another Server B (for load balancing/back up server). Is there any particular configuration/settings on K2 Blackperl side which does this switching to the load balancing server (Server B) automatically, in case there's is a failure on Server A?
Or no such configuration exists and manually the server needs to be switched?
Kindly let me know.

Thanks.

Check out the Disaster Recovery portion of the Getting Started Guide (http://help.k2.com/helppages/k2blackpearlGettingStarted4.6.4/Disaster_Recovery_Introduction.html).

If you want active/passive you will need to either have your load balancer do the cutover, or do it by more manual means.

Bear in mind that if you have 2 K2 servers in a K2 farm, both servers do heartbeat checks against the other server, to determine if it is still there. If the server cannot be reached, the current K2 server assumes it is the only active node of the farm and tries to take over all processing.

HTH,
Gail
