SQL Service Broker data (decimal places)

I'm returning data from a MS SQL database into a smart object using the SQL service broker. 


However numeric values which are defined in SQL as field type (decimal 15,2) are being returning as whole numbers.  i.e. 35.45 in my source database is returned into the smart object as 35


has anyone had similar issues?  offer any advice on how I can return the correct data?

The issue was caused due to regional setting of the K2 service account. It was using German language. After changing to English, the decimal places are shown
