It doesn't appear to me that this is going to be possible but I thought I would post to see if anyone might have a suggestion or solution. I have an activity that has two slots for destination user. Plan per destination, all at once, number of slots to be created - 2, create a slot for each Role or Group. Each slot is filled by a K2 role (Role A and Role b).
What I would like to have happen on escalation:
Email sent to Role b if they have not yet approved
Have Role A's slot reassigned to Role c and then an email sent to Role c
From what I can tell it does not look like you can redirect to a Role in an escalation.
