I have a role that has permissions to a form. this role has an AD group in it that i also recently updated.
The role is not refreshing to take into account the additional members of the AD group.
when i test via the smart object tester i see all the appropriate accounts in that role.
when i manually add a person to that role it works.

Hello,
By Default the Role Refresh interval is set to 60 minutes to update the new users from AD, but we can change the interval value in configuration settings as per our requirement. Please have a look at below help link and do the changes accordingly.

For all who look in the future i was able to fix this. for some reason users were being disabled by default. I had to make sure to add all of my domains in my forest including my root domain (XYZ.com). after some more troubleshooting we found that i had missed Fixpack 22.
after installing that it seemed to work correctly.
