On a list view, how can I show check box control in read mode as check box? By default it displays '

When a list view is in read mode, the column containing check box(es) will show them as normal text labeled "undefined".

I need to show them as check boxes, i.e. the same way they are shown when under edit mode.

How can I do this?

By the looks of your post, it seems you want to have the checkbox controls visible during runitime whithout having to double click on a row, I can confirm that by desing the checkbox controls will not be displaying the box of the checkbox if you do not double click a row to edit it. There are however alternatives to achieve either a similar result or something different which will serve the same purpose for your design.
