Skuid with Lightning Connect: Can we change the filed label?

I am using SKUID with the lightning connect External object. Here my concern is, can we change the fields label on the SKUID pages for a particular ''Field" If I don’t want to actually change the that particular column in database or field label in salesforce?

    All field display components have a “custom label” property that is only maintained in the UI (It doesn’t change the salesforce metadata).  You should be good…
