Check Boxes set by Default

I believe this has been asked before, but I wanted to follow up to see if it is on the road-map or even can be.  I have an inspection form.  By default I am making all checkboxes checked.  When I build a Skuid page the checkboxes by default are showing up as not being checked even though by default they should be.  Is there anyway to bring in the default value on a new record?
