I want to capture any value input to the date field and show an error message to the user.


I used the mechanism mentioned here : https://community.skuid.com/t/adjust-display-format-of-date-and-date-time-fields

Unfortunately, it does reset any invalid input to the current date.

Can anyone help me to understand what is happening here.


Please see the screen grab attached for further details. I want to console.log() the invalid value input.
