Would there be a simply way to create a text box that scrolls past continually - much like a news ticker or similar?

You can use a marquee (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/marquee) to do this. However, as the page also suggests, it is discouraged and should be avoided if possible …
