I have a long text field with <br> and <hr> in the text.  I have put it into a text field

with “allow HTML”.  It does not recognize the <br> or <hr>.  It looks like there is a lot of guessing how to make this work   Here is the text:

Good layout and location<br><hr>I showed the listing for another agent, please contact her here to ask her about what her clients think - Josie (630) 207-0000<br><hr>I really thought they were going for that one but switched gears and we wrote on another townhouse. Sorry I really liked that one. I think they found maybe some staining somewhere on a ceiling<br><hr>Great layout and overall location. Awesome master bath and nice kitchen.<br><hr>Contact Scott Wiley with Redfin for additional feedback<br><hr>Client liked the home and layout. They feel the home is overpriced based on the square footage and only 2 bedrooms. Is there flexibility on price? Please let me know. Thank you<br><hr>Property shows well, nice upgrades and floorplan. Also liked the volume ceilings throughout.<br><hr>

What is the step by step solution?

The Text Component treats the value as a String and doesn’t interpret it’s contents.  You can wrap html around your merged field, but that’s as far as it gets.  If you want to display the value and interpret the html it contains, use a read-only form instead.  Hope that helps.

Hi @bill.fox
Has this reply answered your question?

I see others have had the same question.  Any possibility of developing a solution?

I would like to see that happen, too.  I created an “idea” in our new system for submitting and voting on Product enhancements.  You can vote for it here:  Html in a text field interpreted by the Text Component
