Queues are great! One thing that would make them even better would be the ability to add/delete records directly from a queue (like in a table). So far, I have a button for a popup to create a new record, but inline deleting is harder. I guess there is a custom way to do this, but if you could build this into the standard functionality of Skuid, that would be awesome. 🙂

Actually the queue might best be seen as just a means to get to existing records. Once in those records - you take action on them. This includes delete. So in the Queue detail - you include a record delete button in the page title component, and have the refresh go back and reload the primary queue page. This would remove the record and refresh the queue. Add could similarly be added as a button in the overall page title component. Not saying here that we shouldn’t add these features to the queue - but just saying that I think we have appropriate work around.

Rob,

“… So in the Queue detail - you include a record delete button in the page title component, and have the refresh go back and reload the primary queue page. This would remove the record and refresh the queue. …”

Can you provide an example of what AF actions would be needed for the Delete button and what the redirect URL would be?

Irvin

Maybe, ?

  1. Mark row for completion

  2. Save Model

  3. Redirect to URL

Yes  -  except the first action should be “Mark row for deletion”   (or maybe you’re getting to the end of your typing for the week…)

Yes, end of week 🙂  Not quite sure this will work as described.  I need to work on this over the weekend and report back results.

Thanks again and have a great weekend.

Rob, Followed your original reply steps and yes it worked. However, the redirect is a page refresh and that irritates me. I think I will keep the queue as an alternative view for editing but not deleting. Thanks again, Irvin
