I’m having an issue with uploading a custom component pack. I followed the tutorial here: http://help.skuidify.com/m/11720/l/288289-component-packs-and-custom-components and despite uploading identical code, received the following error on the builder page:

I then discovered that a default component pack is created, so I’ve downloaded it, uncompressed it, recompressed it, and uploaded it. Same error applies.

I’m using Mac OSX 10.10.5 and the ‘Compress’ option on folder right click.

While I believe this to be a .zip issue, am I mistaken on uploading the modified component pack to the Static Resources? Is there a better way to achieve this?

What version of Skuid are you using? The tutorial you linked above is if you built the component prior to the Superbank release. Perhaps check out this tutorial: http://help.skuidify.com/m/11720/l/129359?data-resolve-url=true&data-manual-id=11720

Thanks!

Hi Karen,

Thanks for the quick response.

I’m using version 7.27. The tutorial you’ve linked seems to focus on just a builder.js file located in the Static Resources. Are Component packs a thing of the past?

If anyone is curious, I was able to remedy my issues. Perhaps pretty obvious in hindsight, but when I was compressing the package (on mac) I simply right clicked the parent folder and then selected ‘Compress’. This was actually burying the files one directory deeper than skuid was expecting.

To fix that, I simply selected all the files at once, then right clicked + compress.
