Does Promapp send email notifications for process reviews? I'm assuming it sends emails to Owners and Experts for processes but I can't see this in the documentation. I've gone through all the documentation including https://help.nintex.com/en-US/promapp/Dashboard/Myreviews.htm and not found anything that tells me how they work.

 

What I'd really like to know is the following:

- Is there a notification email?

- If there is, is it 1 email per process?

- How many times is this sent out?

- How often is it sent out?

- Are review notifications grouped?

Can anyone shed some light on this feature? (or point to it in the documentation!)

I think the information you are looking for can be found in the following location: Email and Dashboard notifications (nintex.com)



 



There is a specific menu item for Process Review Notifications, but this help section covers all notifications within Promapp. As an example, here is the screenshot for the information you were looking for:



 





 



In terms of the notification frequency, that is also configurable. Details of this can be found on the same help page, as per the below:

That page states:
'Note: Process review notifications are sent if the review is due within 12 months or if the process review is overdue and process is published.'

The default review setting on my site is 12 months and no notification emails have been sent in the last 12 months.
I've read that page a number of times and it doesn't tell me when or how often the notifications are sent out or if their sent via email or just the dashboard.

If I have a process due for review on, say, the first of September 2022, what notifications will be sent out and when? will these be email notification and dashboard notifications? What do I need to configure in the settings to make this work? Shouldn't this be clearly stated in the documentation?

I've just trawled the settings for notifications and found the 'Email Notification frequency' toggle, does this need to be on? This toggle is only mentioned in relation to 'user' notifications in the documentation. It's not mentioned for Owners or Experts notifications.

This is what the documentation states in relation to the setting:
'Note: If a user dashboard has one or more items that needs their attention - daily/weekly/monthly email notifications will be triggered for them based on the Admin > Configure > Dashboard > Email notification frequency setting.'

After reviewing your request, I realised you were talking specifically about Review process notifications, and not notifications in general. The notifications that are received via email generally contain information about the following changes:



 





 



As you pointed out, this does not contain anything relating to Reviews in particular, and as noted the Reviews are handled via the Dashboard notification feature:



 





 



Just to confirm a few more details about your tenant's configuration, do you know if the "Enable explicit process reviews" setting has been changed perhaps? If this has been set to Off, each published update may be resetting the review date:



 





 



Lastly (and once again just to confirm your configuration), with regards to the processes in question, are you a Process Owner or Expert on the processes requiring review?

So, does Promapp send email notifications for process reviews?

Yes, in our business Process Review notifications are included in the weekly Dashboard Notifications email which is sent to the process Owner & Expert, see attached example.

I guess this means that there isn't a specific email relating only to process reviews and that the notification is bundled with other notifications in the routine notification email.

As you have seen from above, there are no separate email notifications for the Process Reviews.  A notification is generated to the Owner/Expert 'My Reviews' dashboard and then these are included with the regular Process notifications email.

Does it say this in the documentation? I spent hours looking for it!
In the Help centre under the Email and Dashboard notifications topic is the following, which indicates the only notifications for which emails are sent:

Email notifications
Email notifications are auto-triggered from Nintex Promapp for the following major events:
A new user is created
User password is reset
Process feedback is posted
Administration requests received (Promaster only)
