Workflow incorrectly assumes dates in repeating section xml are UTC | Community

What we think is happening:

When extracting the date from the repeating section xml in the workflow,
The workflow assumes the date is in UTC
The workflow adds 10hrs to the date (which matches our region if it was a UTC date)
We then have to subtract the 10hrs back off to get back to the correct date

Hi,
Can you be more specific about the workflow assuming the date is UTC.
If you query the XML to extract the date and use either the "Query result in" variable or the "Query first result" variable the date will be as it is in the XML. At what point in the worklfow is it changed?
