Suddenly a workflow gets "suspended" with this message: 
The account password has expired, as specified by the account settings.

  • I have checked and updated the Connection Manager entry related to this WF with the proper User and PW. 
  • Republished the workflow itself

Anyone seen this behavior ?

Hi,
You have done the first trouble shooting steps that I would have done. The next thing to know is what action the Workflow stopped on. Are any app steps being used? Need to look for what else would be needing credentials.
