I have a workflow that starts/stops a secondary approval workflow.

If the user does certain actions, it needs to terminate the existing approval workflow (if running) and start/restart the approval workflow.

Using the Terminate Workflow Instances and Start Workflow action (one after another) takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

What is the deal with it taking that long?  Anyone else see this type of slowness?

Can you try adding pause before each of the actions?

Welcome to Office 365! add roughly 30-60mins to your time expectations from on-premises. A lot of the slowness is from the shared tenant experience in Office 365 with a workflow manager servicing all clients in the tenant.

Rather than terminating move towards State Machines I would suggest as one method of improvement as terminations can take a while.

You got any solution?
