i have user name in the sharepoint list -type(Multi-text line)..

i need to retrieve the user mail id in the workflow variable to sent the task and mail..

Please help me

This will not be possible if you are using a multiline tex field to capture user names as you cannot be sure that entered user names are correct and/or consistent.



 



Instead of using multi line text field, you should use people pickers. If your users need to enter multiple people, use a repeating table with people picker inside.

no, iam getting the user name(Mutli text) from Info path form to sharepoint, i got one idea and it is working fine.

i have created a new field (People pickers), In the workflow iam updating the people picker field as like user name ..it is working
