I want a Ref Number on my form that sequences whenever I raise a new item

I am a new user.

I want to create a unique reference number on my form when a new item is added.

This will be used a tracking reference by all those in the workflow.

I was hoping to use a unique number that sequences everytime a item is raised.

Can anyone advice please

    Hi

    The easiest way to get a unique number is to use the items ID. There are many other ways to do it but in some cirumstances you may get duplicate numbers.
