Granting and revoking permission to SharePoint item via O365 workflow

Hi,

I'm new to Nintex and I'm using Nintex for O365.

I need to grant "Contribute " permission to a Sharepoint List item to a user group when a  workflow starts and revoke that permission when the workflow completes. I used the "O365 Update Item Permissions" control to grant permissions and is working fine. How can I revoke the permission from the user group?

HI,

Use another Update Item Permissions action and set the appropriate option to Yes.

Inherit permissions from parent
Remove existing permissions

Thanks for your reply.


I used another Update Item Permissions action and set the Remove existing permissions to Yes. This removed not only the contribute permission from the needed group  but also all the other user/group permissions from the item as well. I only want to remove the permission granted to a specific group.


I attached the screnshot of the configuration here. 


Have I done the configuration incorrectly?

Hi,

The setting removes all permissions and then you need to add the ones you want back on again.
Or you can inherit from the parent so you dont lose all permissions and then just add any additional ones back on.
