I have a few free-text fields on my form that whenever the user sees a submitted form, the all of the submitted data comes in with HTML tags. I’m assuming this is due to a lack of a formatting issue, but this wasn’t something I had to do before we migrated from 2010 SharePoint to SharePoint Online.

Is this something other people have run into?

example:

I already checked the SharePoint list columns that the data is being pulled from and verified that the text settings are “Plain Text” and not Rich or Enhanced.

Hi @Iramos85

this seems to look like the source data was stored as rich text of some kind, are you able to check the types of fields on 2010?

the only thing throwing me off is the description, without knowing more about the migration process it is difficult to tell.

is this issue effecting new as well as old items?

Hey @Jake

Turns out the source data was also rich text, so I'm going to have to migrate this these instances all over again to (hopefully) get data without the HTML tags.
