Hi

One thing my testers have picked up is when they are assigned an approval task with a document link.  They click on the link and a local version is downloaded. Users are generally running a version of Office 2010  but this can occur with new versions.

Hence, I want guarantee that documents always open in the browser.

Now, in the Document library you can set this explicitly but I still get the issue.

Here is a useful link

One thing I wanted to try is to hand craft a link you seen in the preview dialog box  in my Assign Task

https://tenant.sharepoint.com/team/Document%20Library/My%20Document?d=w[UNIQUE ID]

now the issue is the unique ID is not available in Nintex .

So how do I get around this?

hi

I had figured out the basic link structure. However this blog post describes the link I have added to all my assign task actions. http://paulryan.com.au/2013/link-to-open-in-browser-with-owa/   .  I am currently getting my users to test this.

Hey Daniel, I saw your reply to yourself, but I did want to link my similar question that had a great answer, perhaps the solution listed there could work for you as well?
