Hi Community,

have some trouble with a workflow migrated from on prem to Nintex for O365.

Talking about a complex approval workflow with many steps and Metadata changing during this steps. The request is to share the actual metadata as mail attachement for each approver and step.
A link to the List / Library is not enough. In Nintex on prem this is realized with a attached pdf file, by the action items Update Document and Convert Document which are no longer available.
Some advice is appreciated.

You could add the metadata directly in the mail by inserting the context item properties.



If an attachment is needed than you can use the Generate Document action that will update a word template with placeholders and generate a pdf that can be attached to the mail. This works almost exactly like the update document action in SharePoint on premises.


Hi this is the case how they use it on prem, but how i update a word document?


The process in O365 is very similar to the process on premises. Use the action called "Generate Document" from the Libraries & Lists group, that is also described here:
