Hey folks -

With the lack of controls for SQL / Web Request / BDC on O365 forms, have you found any ways around this?

I have an SQL instance that I need to be able to reference from a form. Is there a way to mirror into SharePoint lists and use it as a look-up list without it being a BDC? Any fancy thoughts you've come up with???

Cheers,

Rhia

Hi Rhia Wieclawek‌,

No workaround at this stage. We are still planning on using Nintex Xtensions to provide a connection to external data sources for Universal Forms, but we are still a while away from that.

Cheers,

Euan

Thanks Euan.

I'm trying to think of ways to populate a SharePoint list with SQL data and just refresh it as needed or something, without it being BDC. Sounds messy huh.

Just FYI in case anyone else runs into this:

There's a product called Layer2 which will replicate your SQL query into an SPO list. From there, you can use it however you like - Nintex can't tell the difference between it and a regular list.
