Issue Description

K2 SmartObjects are unable to execute and the Host Server is unresponsive on one or more of the nodes. The K2 Configuration service is stopped or unresponsive.

Error Message:

The following errors occur:

 

When executing the K2 SmartObject: “Unable to read data from the transport connection: The connection was closed”

 

In the Event Logs: “Delay starting Host Server”

 

In the K2 Configuration Service logs: “A BackgroundService has thrown an unhandled exception, and the IHost instance is stopping”

Resolution

The fix is available in:

 

  1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
  2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
  3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.
