I am about to start an upgrade from K2 Five to K2 5.2. I wanted to check to see if anyone has an suggestions on stable fix packs. Should I just take the latest, currently fix pack 12?

Also, I am trying to plan the upgrade timeline. The speed that I proceed at will be dependent on my ability to package and deploy either up or down. Will I be able to package from 5.2 and deploy to Five and visa versa?

Anyone want to share and tips and tricks for upgrading?

Hi,

I would go through the K2 Five (5.2) release note especially the resolved items in the new installer K2 Five (5.2) (5.0003.1000.2) - https://help.k2.com/kb002606. Unfortunately, it's not backward compatible to deploy a Five (5.2) package to lower end Five (5.0 or 5.1) environment.

You should take the latest Fix Pack available when you upgrade.

You cannot deploy a package from a newer version to an older version.  The newer version could take advantage of features that don't exist in the older version.
