I have an approval step in my workflow. The approval sends out an email. The problem is that the references are not being populated in the email. 

Here is my approval with references.

This is what i get in email.

I thought that maybe it was because I was starting the workflow before writing to sharepoint, but that’s not it.

Did you use the WF Start wizard to integrate with the form and generate the reference?  Or did you manually added the start a Workflow action?

Do you have the data source mapped to the WF reference in your Start a Workflow Input Mapping?

 


Eventually support got this to work. Don’t remember the solution. But yes, I did use the start wizard.
