Create an outlook task using exchange on-premises?

Hi, I was able to find an article describing how to send an outlook task to a users inbox (as in - one of those emails with the red flags, that creates a task for you ), and could only find instructions for how to do this using exchange online -

Is this possible using exchange on-premises?

It should work with on premise Exchange. Here is the documentation for the Exchange Online broker:
