Wrong Database Type Error with K2 for SharePoint Setup Manager

Diagnoses

Checked the collation settings on the DB. Made sure client had full rights on the DB server as well as on the database. Asked client to try changing the DB name to K2HostServer and rerun the install. This didn't work.

Resolution

Client is local admin and has full rights on the DB server. Client renamed the database "K2Host" to "K2". Ran through the SharePoint Install. Made sure the Name in the Install Screen was changed to "K2". Got a "DB K2Host does not exist" error from the installer. Closed out of the installer. Then renamed the database back to "K2Host". He ran through the installer again with the database name as "K2Host" and it worked.
