Symptoms

Worklist item could not be opened. Unable to cast object of type 'System.String' to type 'SourceCode.Workflow.Client.User'.

I get the above error in v 4.7 which is documented in the following article even though it states that a fix had been released for version 4.6.

Diagnoses

We have done some investigation on our K2 Knowledge base and this related error is a known issue that is corrected in 4.7.


 

Resolution

Sent the client the code fix
Client successfully applied the code fix that resolved the issue.
