Symptoms



Workflow step for user SmartForm action not sending email. I have a multi-step workflow with several SmartForm user tasks and the last one in the workflow is not sending the email but I can see that step as "Active" in the K2 Worklist. I tried inserting a new step just before it and setting it up just like the one that isn't sending the emails, then removed the other task and the new one is exhibiting the same behavior.


 

Diagnoses




This was an issue when using the CC field for the email property of the people picker control. Which passes and ID value.
 

Resolution



Resolution:

Using the SharePoint Email inline function and selecting the people picker node property, resolved the issue.
